Indicator Overview

This indicator is currently in the planning phase. Data collection will be coordinated through the Integrated Energy Management System (IEMS) to track electrical energy recovery from wastewater and bio-solids valorisation against total energy demand.

Indicator Requirements

Numerator

Total amount of electrical energy expressed in Gj produced from wastewater treatment, solid waste and other liquid waste treatment and other waste heat resources.

Denominator

City’s total end-use energy demand in the same units as the numerator.

Indicator 68 = A / B X 100 A. Numerator : Please state the total amount of electrical energy produced from wastewater treatment, solid waste, other liquid waste treatment, and other waste heat resources for the assessment year.
