Overview
The 2019 pilot project report highlights the development of the official Putrajaya Smart City Mobile App platform (Mobile Community Platform / MCP) by Touchpoint International in collaboration with Perbadanan Putrajaya. Serving over 150,000 users, the app connects city governments, citizens, local businesses, and tourists into a self-sustaining smart ecosystem.
PSCB Blueprint Alignment
This initiative is classified under Smart Application 3.2: Residents & Public Communication within the Putrajaya Smart City Blueprint (PSCB), contributing to Thrust 3: Smart Government Services. It is also referenced under Smart Application 6.2: Tourism (Thrust 6: Smart Economy) for its city attraction and visitor information features.
Strategic Objective (PSCB Section 4.0): Creates a more efficient management and maintenance regime for public service delivery — providing citizens with a single integrated platform for public administration, civil affairs, and city information.
Desired Outcomes:
- Citizens receive real-time information on public administration processes, civil affairs, and city events through a mobile-first interface.
- Integration of parking guidance, bus fare payment, dengue hotspot alerts, and tourism information into a single Putrajaya super-app.
- Accessible gateway for online complaints, service requests, venue bookings, and event registrations — reducing walk-in traffic to government offices.
