Perbadanan Putrajaya has taken a decisive step in transforming public communication through the implementation of the Centralized Electronic Bulletin Board (CEBB) — a comprehensive digital public information display system spanning strategic locations across Putrajaya. Beyond simply replacing conventional physical notice boards, CEBB functions as a Smart City Information Hub, aggregating real-time data from multiple municipal systems into a single, living public display that serves every resident and visitor.

With 101 digital panels comprising LED Billboards and Digital Signage at key locations including Kompleks Kejiranan Putrajaya, Medan Selera, Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya, Dewan Persidangan, Auditorium Tun Azizan Zainul Abidin, commercial complex lobbies, hotel lobbies, hospital lobbies, and Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), CEBB forms the comprehensive communications nerve centre of Putrajaya’s municipal ecosystem.

Content Management: Corporate Communications Division

The entire content operation of CEBB is managed by the Corporate Communications Division (Bahagian Komunikasi Korporat), Perbadanan Putrajaya — a dedicated unit responsible for ensuring every panel displays accurate, relevant, and timely information to the public. Through the centralised backend system, the team can publish content to all 101 displays simultaneously or to selected locations, with full control over scheduling, design, and display duration.

System Architecture: Three Operational Layers

Layer 1 — Content Engine (Samsung MagicINFO™ 9) The Samsung MagicINFO™ 9 platform forms the operational backbone, integrating three core components:

• Samsung Author: Intuitive content creation tools for visual design, templates, and animations
• Samsung Server: Centralised content management and scheduling — controlling all 101 panels from a single platform, with integrated marketing performance reporting via playback data analytics
• Samsung Player: Multi-format content delivery without external software or hardware dependencies

Layer 2 — Real-Time Smart City Data Integration This is what distinguishes CEBB from a conventional bulletin board system. CEBB integrates live data feeds directly from two of Putrajaya’s other operational municipal systems:

🅿️ Parking Guidance System (PGS) Real-time data from the Parking Guidance System is fed directly to CEBB panels located near car park facilities. Members of the public can immediately check live parking space availability — reducing traffic congestion caused by vehicles searching for parking, and significantly improving the overall urban mobility experience for commuters and visitors.

🚌 Nadiputra Fleet Tracking System Real-time Nadiputra bus service information is displayed directly on CEBB panels at terminals, bus stops, and adjacent public venues. Passengers can monitor estimated bus arrival times, route numbers, and service status without requiring a smartphone — making public transport more accessible and inclusive for all segments of the community, including senior citizens and tourists.

🚨 Putrajaya Command Centre (PCC) — Emergency Broadcast During emergencies or disaster situations, the Putrajaya Command Centre (PCC) has the capability to commandeer all 101 CEBB panels simultaneously to broadcast emergency warnings and alerts to Putrajaya residents in real-time. This enables a rapid, city-wide public communications response in scenarios such as flash floods, fires, public safety incidents, or any situation requiring immediate action by residents. This integration embeds CEBB firmly within Putrajaya’s municipal emergency response chain — extending its function far beyond routine daily communications into a critical role in life protection and public safety management.

🏟️ Giant LED Billboards & Live Public Screening (Outdoor Dataran) Beyond indoor panel installations, CEBB also operates large-format giant LED Billboards positioned at Putrajaya’s most iconic public squares — transforming open civic spaces into dynamic, community-scale multimedia venues:

These giant outdoor billboards have served as gathering points for thousands of Putrajaya residents to watch live screenings of FIFA World Cup Semi-Final and Final matches, as well as live coverage of Malaysian athletes competing in international sporting championships. This public live screening capability positions Putrajaya as a vibrant, community-spirited, and inclusive city — where shared viewing experiences at a municipal scale reinforce Putrajaya’s identity not only as a technologically smart city, but as one rich in civic spirit and community belonging.
