National Smart Living Standard
The Smart Living domain of the MSCF focuses on fundamentally improving the quality of life for urban residents by creating safe, healthy, and culturally vibrant municipal environments. It recognises that true smart cities must prioritise the physical and psychological well-being of their inhabitants through technology-enabled security and lifestyle enhancements.
Key components of this national standard include the deployment of integrated public safety architectures—encompassing AI-driven CCTV surveillance, panic button networks, and multi-agency emergency response systems. It also extends to smart healthcare accessibility, intelligent housing management, and the preservation of urban cultural heritage through digital means.
In alignment with this domain, Putrajaya's Smart Safety & Security initiatives—managed via the 24/7 Putrajaya Command Centre (PCC)—provide a comprehensive umbrella of protection for the city. By integrating over 420 surveillance nodes and enforcing structured incident response protocols, Putrajaya actualises the core objectives of the MSCF Smart Living mandate.
