Strategic Overview

National Smart Government Standard

The Smart Government domain is the cornerstone of the Malaysia Smart City Framework (MSCF), dedicated to transforming municipal administration into an agile, transparent, and citizen-centric governance model. It mandates the digitalisation of public service delivery, ensuring that local authorities operate with maximum efficiency and responsiveness.

This domain advocates for the implementation of integrated municipal dashboards, automated e-submission platforms for development planning (such as OSC 4.0), robust open data initiatives, and unified mobile applications that serve as a single digital touchpoint for residents. It emphasises the use of data analytics to inform urban policy and urban planning decisions, breaking down operational silos within government departments.

Putrajaya operationalises the Smart Government standard through its extensive digital governance ecosystem, anchored by the Putrajaya Command Centre (PCC) and the MyPutrajaya Mobile App. These platforms ensure that the administrative capital sets the benchmark for technological integration in Malaysian public service delivery.
